REASONS TO APPLY
Are you looking for a school who will provide your children an academically excellent education while instilling within their hearts and minds a Biblical understanding of the world around them? If so, Foundations Christian Academy may be a good partner to help “train up” your child or children in the way they should go.
PARTNERING WITH PARENTS
In the educational environment today, it is often challenging to find a school who aligns with the beliefs and values being taught in the home. We strive to partner with parents who desire to

“train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
At Foundations, we practice an educational model that produces academic excellence and builds a Biblical worldview within the hearts and minds of our students. As a Christian school committed to building upon the Word of God, it is important to us that as we grow our community of Christian families, that each family, or at least one parent be active in a local church.

GOD'S WORD AS A FOUNDATION
At Foundations Christian Academy we place the Word of God as the foundation for all we teach or do. For generations Christians have compartmentalized or separated the sacred or spiritual from the rest of life. We believe that the Word of God applies to all of life, that it not only teaches us about God, who He is and how to know Him; but it also lays a foundation for better understanding the physical world around us, how to view history, principles concerning money and economics, and how we should govern ourselves and our interactions with others.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10)

A TUTORIAL APPROACH
Our educational model, the Principle Approach®, is a model based upon mastery of the subject rather than mere rote memorization of facts or using a traditional textbook/workbook model. This method engages each student in the classroom teaching each as an individual rather than addressing the classroom as a whole. Part of this tutorial process is teaching each student, at a grade appropriate level, how to research the area being studied, how to process or reason through the information studied, how to apply the information gained through research and reason to the world around us and ultimately to create a record of that learning by writing down the conclusions in a way that brings clarity and depth to the area or subject being studied. This process results in true learning for the student, not just filling in blanks in a workbook, or memorizing answers for a test.
